Good quality, everything needed. January 1, 2009 Brian Henderson (White House, TN USA) Good quality items. Appropriate lengths of wire. Good quality connectors. Very convenient package, at a sensible price. You could get all the bits required from any auto parts store, but unless you already have them, you'd pay a lot more for the minimum quantities you'd have to buy in...
Too large for my application December 16, 2008 Joel G. Landau (Austin, TX) If you've got plenty of room on your scoot, this is a must have for any motorcyclist. Unfortunately, it was too large to fit under the flyscreen of my Buell XB12S Lightning (fortunately a friend's Uly had plenty of room). I tried several other install concepts posted by other users, the XBS is just way too small. I looked at several other horns before deciding on this one. Pros: * Great idea * Loudest on the market, according to my research * Plenty of user reviews and advice on how to install for many models. Cons: * Too small for smaller form factor/compact bikes * Poor instructions included, not much help on the company's web site * Additional wiring kit needed for many applications Better if: * Better instructions were included * Wiring kit just came with the base kit * A smaller version was available, even at a sacrifice of dB
Wiring kit for Stebel Air Horn November 10, 2008 M. Elaine Morris (Dacula, GA United States) Pretty good. Wire could be a little thicker guage, but all in all... pretty good.
All the right stuff August 27, 2008 Viper__40 (Expat, South Korea) Of course I could not say enough about my Stebel horn, so it's the same for the wiring kit. All the right connectors make a job easier. Especially here in Korea where you can find little or nothing you're used to for projects. I had to go all over town just to find the length of wire I needed capable of carrying 20 amps for the Hyosung Rally Scooter.
Helpful, but included wires are too short August 1, 2008 Brett W. Coon (San Jose, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The kit provided a reasonable start for me, but the included wires were too short, so I still ended up having to go buy more wire and connectors. You're mostly paying for the convenience of having the connectors picked out for you. If I were doing it again, I don't think I'd get the wiring kit.
